Initial Meeting
I met the assistant of my then-unknown client at one of the trendy and expensive locales in District 1, Zurich. After a brief conversation, it became clear that we were the best fit for their request. We were the only company willing to take on all their wishes without pushing a “standard event.”
Planning and Agreement
We agreed to refine the planning, and shortly after, we had the contract signed.
The Adventure Begins
We picked up the family in the Zurich area with our van and drove to Seelisberg to the “Guruplatte.” There, we began the adventure weekend 400 meters above Lake Lucerne, rappelling vertically down to the lake with our mountain guides. (Check out the breathtaking views in the photos!)
At the bottom, a small boat awaited us. During the short lake crossing, we had a meal and then boarded a helicopter on the other shore.
Adaptation to Weather
Unfortunately, the helicopter couldn’t fly over the Alps to Ticino due to cloudy weather and poor visibility in northern Switzerland.
Of course, a good contingency plan is essential for every event. Before the Gotthard Tunnel (the longest road tunnel in the world), our van was waiting. The family exited the helicopter, drove through the 17 km tunnel, and at the other end of the Alps in Ticino (southern Switzerland), the Ticino helicopter was ready with its rotors running.
Canyoning in Ticino
The helicopter took us to the Boggera canyoning gorge. Wearing thick wetsuits, we descended through a beautiful gorge towards the valley. We swam in crystal-clear water, slid down natural slides, rappelled, and jumped into natural pools where possible.
Overnight Camping
At the family’s request, we spent the night outdoors by a campfire. We slept with a view over the main valley of Ticino. The next day, we rafted down the Ticino River towards Locarno.
Return to the German-Speaking Part of Switzerland
From there, we took the helicopter back to the German-speaking part of Switzerland, with a brief stop next to the Jungfrau (a famous 4,000-meter mountain in Switzerland).
Horseback Riding and Kart Racing
Upon arrival in the Solothurn Jura (a gentle hilly landscape), we rode horses through forests and meadows. We concluded the day with a competition on the go-kart track.
This was an unforgettable adventure, meticulously planned and executed to cater to every wish of our client. If you are looking for a unique and customized adventure, contact us to make your dream trip a reality.
